Kipp Dickson

Kipp Dickson of Akron, age 61, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at McLaren - Caro Region. Kipp was born October 30, 1959 in Caro, the son of the late Donald and Caroline (Gangler) Dickson. He was a 1977 graduate of Akron-Fairgrove High School and began a farming career shortly after. Kipp and the former Joyce Hoppe were united in marriage on April 16, 1983 in Sebewaing, and she survives. Along with farming, which he loved, he was also the owner and operator of Thumb Stump Removal. He loved going to the Upper Peninsula for vacations and family deer camp. Kipp enjoyed hunting, fishing, small engine repair, cutting wood, and was faithful in his daily visits to the Co-op elevator in Akron for morning coffee with friends. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his ability to make people laugh. His sage advise and willingness to help anyone in need will be missed by many. Kipp is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Joyce Dickson; two sons, Jordan Dickson and his wife, Allison, of Reese, Andrew Dickson of Akron; his siblings, Curt Dickson and his wife, Holly, of Akron, Holly Russell of Caro, Cole Dickson of Frankenmuth; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses at McLaren - Caro Region for their kind and compassionate care. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Demorest Cemetery in Akron with Rev.
