L. Ralph Haist

L. Ralph Haist age 86, of Ubly died Sunday morning, May 8, at Huron County Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe.

He was born April 7, 1930 in Elkton, son of the late William and Mabel (Rolph) Haist. Ralph grew up in the Elkton area and was a 1948 graduate of Elkton High School. After high school, he attended Bay City Business College, then enlisted in the Army National Guard.

Ralph took a position with the Hubbard State Bank where he had worked in several of its branches for 37 years. For the next eight
years, he was employed at NutraSweet in Harbor Beach retiring in 1995.
He was a former member of the Ubly Lions Club and enjoyed bowling and golf.

Surviving are two children, Roxanne (Dennis) Priebe of Commerce Twp and Todd (Michelle) Haist of Colorado Springs, CO; a grandson, Jacob Haist and his sister, Dorothy Allen of San Diego, CA.

Ralph has requested that there be no service and his burial take place in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton on the family plot.
