L. Edward Knaus age 63, of Kinde/Caseville died suddenly Sunday afternoon, July 17, from a ruptured aneurysm.
He was born February 16, 1948 in Pigeon to the late Alex and Alice (King) Knaus. Ed was a 1966 graduate of Laker High School and has lived in this area all his life.
On February 2, 1980, he was united in marriage to Judy (Kirkwood) Rogers in Caseville, she preceded him in death on March 2, 2007.
Ed was a truck driver all his life, working with R & R Farms(Ron & Bob Kuck), John Chappel, Wiederhold Fright, Stewart & Brian Henry and Peter Shupe. He also worked as a park ranger at Sleeper and Port Crescent State Parks for a number of years. Ed was a hard worker and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his daughter, Heidi Knaus-Jordan of St. Clair Shores; two sisters, Frances (Jim) Duprey of Mio and Kathy (Don) Karle of Caseville; two brothers, Raymond (Vivian) Knaus of CO and Thomas Knaus of Troy and several nieces and nephews.
Ed had donated his body to Science Care of Phoenix, Az with a memorial service to be planned at a later date.
