Larar Moncus

Lamar Moncus of Lake Twp., age 83, died Monday, October 6, 2003, in Albany, GA.
He was born on January 31, 1920, to the late Charlie and Mary Lou (Daniel) Moncus in Dawson, GA.
After serving in the Army during WWII he return home to Detroit. There he met and was united in marriage to Pauline Nichols on April 14, 1951 She preceded him in death February 20, 1989. He later married Elizabeth Howell on March 19, 1997, in Phoenix City, AL. They made their winter home in Albany, GA.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; his daughter, Virginia McMullen of Warren; three grandchildren, Terry, David, and Michael; a great-grandson, Patrick; a brother, Foye (Reba) Moncus of Leesburg, GA; three sisters, Jessie Wills of Parrot, GA, Annie Wheeler of Dawson, GA, and Mary Lou Hart of Eastpointe.
A brother, Carlton Moncus, preceded him in death.
Visitation and funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 9, 2003 at the Hall & Hall Funeral Home in Albany, GA.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, May 1, 2004, at Riverside Cemetery, Elkton; his cremains will be interned next to Pauline.
