Larry "Pav" Dean Pavlichek

Larry "Pav" Dean Pavlichek, age 71, of Sebewaing, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at McLaren Bay Region with his wife at his side.

Larry was born October 5, 1948, the son of the late Paul and Georgia (Howard) Pavlichek. He married Donna Martin on November 4, 1967, in Detroit. They moved to the Thumb area in 1969 where they raised their family. Larry worked at American Hoist and at Alton Company for 20 years, as a welder and foreman, until he retired.

Larry truly loved his family. He loved going to his grandchildren's softball, volleyball, basketball and baseball games. He was extremely proud of all their accomplishments. They were his pride and joy.

Larry was an avid golfer. He and his golf partner won several trophies over the years. He also enjoyed playing in a pool and dart league.

Larry is survived by his wife, Donna; his son, Lee (Alicia) Pavlichek of Unionville; his daughter, Joelle (Kelly) Knowler of Altoona, Iowa; and four grandchildren: Morgan, Evan, Delanie and Ty; sisters: Pam (Jay) Richez of Spring Hill, TN, and Paulette (Bob) Kaurer of Oscoda.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother, father, and three brothers: Robert Wilson, Daniel Pavlichek and Doug Pavlichek.

A celebration of his life will take place at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, at a later date.
