Larry "NAPA Larry" Langmaid of Caro, age 62, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at McLaren - Bay Region in Bay City. Larry was born July 12, 1957 in Caro, the son of the late Donald and Anna (Wixson) Langmaid. He was employed with NAPA Auto Parts in managerial/sales positions in Cass City, Elkton, Bad Axe and Harbor Beach. Larry was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers and NASCAR's #9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet. He enjoyed helping others along with baking cookies, especially sugar cookies, peanut butter, chocolate chip, zucchini bread, and made an awesome cheesecake. Larry firmly believed that "everything goes better with bacon." He is survived by two daughters, Jessica Roberts of Bad Axe and Ashley Plantz and her husband, Justin, of Harbor Beach; seven grandchildren, McKayla, Ashton, McKatelynn, Ashlynne, Emmitt, Malakia and Jemma; four siblings, Jim Langmaid and his wife, Caryl, of Caro, Donna Schmitzer of Caro, Loann Rowe of Mayville, Debra Gutierrez of Caro; mother of his daughters, Linda Langmaid; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special friend, Sandy Parrish. In keeping with Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Wester officiating.
