Larry Edward Parrish

Larry Edward Parrish of Caro, age 74, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Ascension St. Mary’s in Saginaw. Larry was born November 5, 1949, in Bad Axe, the son of the late Clifford and Clara (Souva) Parrish. He was employed with Caro Manufacturing for over thirty years. Larry’s love for bingo was undeniable; he was an avid player and could be found at the Caro VFW Hall every Wednesday and Friday night, actively involved in running their weekly bingo sessions. Beyond the bingo hall, Larry had a fondness for scratch-off lottery tickets and the excitement of the possibility of finding a winning ticket. Above all else, he loved his family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were the lights of his life.

Left to cherish Larry’s memory are his daughter, Jennifer Parrish of Caro; four grandchildren, Brittany Bailey, Michael Bailey and his wife, Michelle, Albert Bailey and his significant other, Aliyah Sanchez, and Kyndra DuRussell, all of Caro; four great-grandchildren, Allison, Lisa, Matthew, and Haiden; four siblings and their spouses, Clifford & Mary Ann Parrish of Fairgrove, Gary & Pat Parrish of Fairgrove, Terry Parrish of Caro, and Jayne Palmerton of Akron; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Edward Bailey; and four siblings, Judy Dailey, Mark Parrish, and infants Robert and Janet Parrish.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the VFW Post 4164 in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the VFW following the 2:00 p.m. service.
