Larry Wesley Sanders, Jr.

Larry Wesley Sanders, Jr. of Vassar, age 55, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Larry was born December 8, 1966 in Saginaw, the son of Elsie (Brown) Robinson and the late Lawrence Sanders. During his high school years, he was a star quarterback. Larry loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and was a devoted hunter, having received an award from Whitetails Unlimited. Larry's favorite nickname for his son and grandchildren was "sissy" and nieces and nephews were called "bonehead." In his younger years, Larry was a professional drywall installer/hanger. He also enjoyed driving in demolition derbies, figure eight racing, paint ball and off road driving. Larry was a man who loved life to the fullest and he lived his life on his own terms. Larry is survived by his son, AnDrew Wesley Sanders; his son's wife, Shona Sanders; their children, Hunter, Serenity and Aurora Sanders; mother, Elsie Robinson; sisters, Sharon (Marshall) TerBush, Sherry (Robin) Wilber and Lisa (Justin) Marsh; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Lawrence Sanders, Sr., Larry was preceded in death by his step-father, Theron Robinson; grandma and grandpa Brown and grandma and grandpa Sanders. In keeping with Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place.
