Larry "Taco" Sauceda

Larry "Taco" Sauceda of Caro, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. Larry was born December 17, 1943 in Bryan, Texas, the son of the late Ben and Leona (Ortiz) Sauceda. In his younger years, he enjoyed carpentry, drywalling and ship building. In more recent years, he had been employed with Dwight's Auto Sales in Caro and Tom's Farm in Marlette. Larry enjoyed going to the stock car races every Saturday night in Owendale for more than twenty years, as well as watching NASCAR, especially #24 Jeff Gordon, collecting hats from locations he visited, birdwatching, animals, and collecting rocks, bottles and trinkets of all kinds. He is survived by four children and their spouses, Roger and Carmita Decoster of LasVegas, Nevada, Michelle and Edgar Rubalcaba of Hubert, North Carolina, Lisa and Anthony Fullerton of Caro, Carrie Sauceda of Caro; eleven grandchildren, Alizabeth, Skyler, Cooper, Hannah, Bryce, Antonio, Noah, Briana, Eden, Makinzee and Gabriel; five great-grandchildren, Micah, Amari, Jeremiah, Francheska, Jayden; seven siblings and their spouses, Leona Fierros of Caro, Lilly & Marcos Benavides of Saginaw, Anita Reyes of Texas, Patrick Sauceda of Texas, Andrew Sauceda of Texas, Virginia Sauceda of Texas, and Louis & Olivia Sauceda of Texas. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by two brothers, Marcelo and Domingo Sauceda. In keeping with Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating.
