Larry Valentine

Larry A. Valentine, age 49 years, of Unionville, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 22, 2007. He was born on June 3, 1957 in Flint. Larry grew up on the family farm near Mayville, graduated from Mayville High School and attended Mott Community College. He later attended diesel mechanic school, and worked as a diesel mechanic and on oil rigs. He joined the United State Army and served until being injured in Germany. Upon his discharge, he returned to Tuscola County and worked on rigs here and in the Cadillac area. His final move to Unionville occurred in 2006. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, model building, drawing and artistic endeavors. He is survived by a son, Jason Valentine of Akron, a daughter Alicia Valentine of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Dillon J. Sinwinski and Teagan Valentine, at home; his step-brother, Wayne Morche of Marion; sisters, Sharon Allen of Caro and Tarrie (Max) Blackmer of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. In accordance with Larrys wishes, a private family service will follow cremation. There will be no visitation or services at the Collon Funeral Home.
