Laura Lee Fibranz
Laura Lee Fibranz, age 91, formerly of Pigeon, passed away peacefully December 13, 2011 at Banner Garden Hospice House in Mesa, Arizona. Laura was born February 11, 1920 in Ashburn, Missouri to the late Carl and May (Luex) Hallows. She married Clarence a Fibranz September 29, 1942 in Detroit. He passed away May 12, 2007. Laura was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church (Linkville) and was involved in the Ladies Aid. Laura enjoyed making crafts and working in the garden.
Laura is survived by her children: Ada (Bob) Griffith of Frankfort, Missouri, Judy Alexander ( fiancé Lee) of Greenville, South Carolina, Fay Estas of Yuma, Arizona, Clarence (Carol) Fibranz of Bad Axe, Michigan, Ida (Tom) Haag of Sebewaing, Michigan, Beverly (Richard) Wise of Pigeon, Michigan, Raymond (Donna) Fibranz of Owendale, Michigan, Norma (Doug) Janowiak of Clayton, North Carolina, Betty (Bill) Haag of Gold Canyon, Arizona, Ricky Fibranz (special friend Vicky) of Roseville, Michigan, Donald Fibranz of Pigeon, Michigan, and Christina (John) Matthews of Unionville, Michigan.
Proud grandmother of 54 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
Dearest sister of Leora Schufford, Kenneth Hallows, Gerald Hallows, John David Hallows, and Karen Decker.
Dear sister-n-law of Jeannie Hallows.
Laura is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson: Patrick Fibranz, son-in-law: Dana Estas, and grandson-in-law: Mike Frolos.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 1-9pm with a scripture service at 5:30pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Inc., 538 S. Beck St., Sebewaing, MI.
The funeral service will be Monday, December 19, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church (Linkville), 7292 Kilmanagh Rd., Pigeon, MI. Visiting will begin at the church at 10am with the service at 11am. Rev. Lee C. Wenskay will be officiating.
Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church (Linkville), American Heart Association, or American Cancer Society.
