Laura Dixon Tod

Laura Dixon Tod of Caro, age 49, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Laura was born July 30, 1966 in Pierre, South Dakota, the daughter of William and Lynda (Dixon) Tod. Laura and her family moved to Caro in 1971. She attended Highland Pines School and then the Personal Independence Center. She delighted in taking second place in the Special Olympics chocolate milk drinking contest, for which she received a ribbon. Laura enjoyed her family and her housemates. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, William and Lynda Tod of Manistee; three siblings, Scott George Tod of Indianapolis, Indiana, Elizabeth & Robert Kunc of Grand Ledge, and Steven Tod and Athena of Luzern, Switzerland; her nieces and nephews, Caroline, Chloe, Aidan, Hannah and Haley; two aunts, Beth Dixon of New York City, New York and Colleen Dixon of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and four cousins, Shellie, Carrie, Cooper and Riley. She was preceded in death by one uncle, Paul Dixon. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Hospice Advantage or the donor's favorite charity.
