Laurie J. Harder, age 59, of Unionville, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Laurie was born March 7, 1956, in Pigeon, to the late Jack and Jeanette (Haag) Bursick. She married Sampson Harder on December 21, 1978, in Bad Axe. He preceded her in death in 1993. She retired from Michigan Sugar Company as a Boiler House Operator after 35 years of service. Laurie enjoyed planting flowers, baking, gardening, shopping, laying out in the sun, going to garage sales and spending time with her grandchildren.
Laurie is survived by her children: Jonathon Terry (Maegan) Harder and Heather Lynn (Grant) Harder-Sting; boyfriend, Craig Cross; grandchildren: Brooklyn, Nataley and Jordan Harder, Jonathon Harder and Catarina Sting; brother, Clayton Wade Bursick; and many nieces and nephews.
Laurie is preceded in death by her husband, Sampson Harder; parents: Jack and Jeanette Bursick; and siblings: Michael Bursick, Brian Bursick and Timothy Bursick.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 1-8PM.
The funeral service will be 11 AM on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be given to the family.
