Lawrence "Sinker" Kroenert

Lawrence R. “Sinker” Kroenert, 64, of Caseville, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at his home while under hospice care.

Lawrence was born May 30, 1947 in Detroit to Raymond and the late Dorothy (Walker) Kroenert. He grew up in Redford and graduated from Redford Union High School in 1967. He served in the US Army for four years, including two years in Vietnam. He married Arvis Diane Whitehouse on July 3, 1991 in Richmond, Kentucky.

He worked as a welder first in the service, then later at Paragon in Novi. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and was a proud member of the Warlocks Motorcycle Club in Detroit from 1982-2006, before he joined the Highway Men from 2006-2010 when he retired. He moved to Caseville in 1993.

Surviving are his wife Arvis; children Terry, Lawrence, Donna, Lisa, Thomas, Sarah, Linda (Jeremy) Briesmeister and Buffie (Ryan) Paxton; many grandchildren; his father Raymond; brother John and sisters Jeri and Lynda.

He was preceded in death by his son Tim and mother Dorothy.

Memorial services will be at 12:00 Noon, Friday, June 24th at the Caseville Eagles Club. Military honors will be provided by the Caseville American Legion.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice.
