Lee Robert Ensign, age 66, of Caro passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw. He was born in Pontiac to Lee E. and Theda (Smith) Ensign. The Ensigns moved from Pontiac to Marlette where Lee was a 1966 high school graduate. For the most part, Lee was employed at Pontiac Motors until his retirement. Lee married the former May McComb Fader who preceded him in death on February 9, 1994. He then married Barbara Ann (Camp) Lohr on June 28, 1995 in Covington, Kentucky. Lee loved his dog “Baby Doll”, televised football and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his parents, Lee and Theda Ensign of Caro; his children, Krista (Steve) Maxey of North Carolina, Mark Ensign of Mt. Clemens, Robert Ensign of Pontiac, Daniel (Thersa) Lohr of Vassar, Kimberley Schember of Akron, Carl (Michele) Proper of Unionville, Ricky (Heather) Fader of Caro, Rhonda (Fred) Aherns of Fairgrove, Rev. James (Kelly) Fader of Akron, and Scott (Michelle) Fader of North Dakota; twenty-three grandchildren and five great- grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his first wife, May (Fader) Ensign, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas James Ensign. The funeral service will be held at New Hope Ministries in Akron on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Fader officiating. In accordance with Lees wishes, cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday, October 4, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Lee Ensign family discretionary fund.
