Lee Charles Truemner

Lee “Shiney” Truemner, 79, of Pigeon, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw.

Lee was born December 30, 1943 in Pigeon to the late Delmar and Edna (Haag) Truemner.  In 1962 he graduated from Laker High School.  He served in the US Army in Germany.  On November 4, 1967 he married Janet Schweitzer at Kilmanagh EUB Church.

Lee was a lifelong crop farmer in Winsor Twp.  He was a founding member of the Pigeon Conservation Club and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Linkville.  Lee enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with family and grandchildren.

Lee is survived by his wife Janet; children Kari (Matt) Ricker of Gagetown, Kevin (Sheila) of Owendale, and Kendal (Rosie) of Pigeon; grandchildren Derek (Emily), Brenden (Jordyn), Kyle, Abigail, Colin, Leah and Cade; great-granddaughters Hadley and Callie; siblings Donna Moeller of Allegan, Dale (Mary) of Pigeon, and June (Doug) McGlaun of Rochester Hills.  He was preceded in death by grandson Brody and brother Joe.

Per his request, private interment will be in Grand Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2-8pm Wednesday, August 23 at the Champagne Funeral Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Pigeon Conservation Club or St. Paul Lutheran Church-Linkville.
