Lena Young Mcgee

Lena Young McGee, age 86, of Elkton, died Saturday afternoon February 16, the Lapeer County Medical care Facility with her family at her side.
She was born August 27, 1921 in Oliver Twp to the late Frank and Mary (Elchert) Divo. Her mother died shortly after her birth. Her father then married Anna Reb, who became her mother. They lived in the Detroit area until she was 8 years old, when they came back to Oliver Twp.
On March 27, 1940, she was united in marriage to Eldon Young in Napoleon, OH. They lived and raised their family in Oliver Twp. Eldon passed away October 4, 1982.
Lena was employed at Active Industries over 25 years, retiring in 1974.
On August 16, 1986, she married Frank McGee in Elkton; he died November 11, 1992.
Lena was a member of the Elkton United Methodist Church and had been attending Trinity United Methodist of Lapeer, while living with her daughter the past year, she enjoyed being outdoors in her garden tending to her flowers and vegetables. She was an avid euchre player and loved being with her family.
Surviving are her children, Jerry Young of Bad Axe and Connie (Claire) June of North Branch; ten grandchildren, Dana, Bryan, Carey, Curt, Creg, Cheri, Casey, Calyssa, Aaron and Alex; nine great grandchildren, Jordon, Colin, Kaylee, Noah, Kaleb, Joshua, Breann, Caiden and Riley and her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Young of Pigeon.
Preceding her in death was an infant son, Ronald, her brother, John Divo and two sisters, Lillian Lobert and Martha Toletene.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 19, at the Elkton United Methodist Church. Rev. Ralph, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 9 PM Monday and at the church after 10 AM Tuesday.
