Leonard W. "Bill" Leipprandt, age 84, of Braintree, Massachusetts (formerly of Lansing and Pigeon), died August 6, 2010. He was born in Saginaw on November 25, 1925. Bill was a 1943 graduate from Pigeon High School and a veteran of World War II. He and Jacqueline Buerker were married in Pigeon on June 24, 1948. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2007.
Bill was retired as superintendent of Bosch Plumbing & Heating, and did much work at Michigan State University in the heating systems. He was a member of the Plumbers Union Local 333 in Lansing. He and Jacqueline lived in Vero Beach, Florida for over 23 years after retirement, and traveled in their camper/fifth wheel, returning to Michigan in the summer to visit friends.
He was a loving father to Patricia Leipprandt and her husband Kenneth Fieldman of Milton, Massachusetts; grandpa to Zachary and Anna Fieldman; and brother to Jane Scandary of Lansing and John Leipprandt of Bay City.
A Memorial Service for Bill and Jacqueline Leipprandt will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home, Pigeon. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon.
