Leonard M. Dunn

Leonard M. Dunn, age 80, of Unionville, formerly of Madison Heights, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City.

Leonard was born February 18, 1933 in Detroit, MI to the late Joseph and Mary (Reid) Dunn. He is a United States Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. He married Theresia Menrath, November 20, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville, MI. He was in the Sprinkler Fitters Local 704 in Detroit for 35 years. Leonard was a lifetime member at the VFW Post # 9407 in Madison Heights. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and riding his golf cart.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Theresia; children: Debra (Michael) Trischler, Michael (Renee) Dunn and Theresa "Teri" (Timothy) Holland; grandchildren: Michael, Amanda, Alaina, Michelle, Timmy and Jakob; 9 great grandchildren; siblings: Daniel Dunn, Gerald Dunn, carol Marus and Verna Dunn; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Monday, January 27, 2014 from 12noon-8pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.

The funeral service is Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will take place privately at Moravian Cemetery in Unionville.

Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or the family.
