Leota H. Hornbacher

Leota H. Hornbacher, age 97, of Sebewaing, was called home to heaven on Monday, October 17, 2011 at Vadavilla AFC Home, Unionville. Mrs. Hornbacher was born April 23, 1914, the daughter of Gustave and Nellie (Parsell) Wildner. She married John Hornbacher on May 10, 1932. They were farmers all their lives. She worked for Michigan Sugar Company on a seasonal basis for many years.

Mrs. Hornbacher was preceded in death by her husband John, and siblings: Randolph Wildner, Cecil Ziegler and Dorothy Walk.

She is survived by her sister Kathleen H. Marker of Sebewaing. She is also survived by her nephew William (Sally) Wildner, her niece Fern (Gary) Cosens, as well as several great nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Hornbacher was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Linkville and the Farm Bureau.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 1-7pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.

The funeral service will be Friday, October 21, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Linkville, 7292 Kilmanagh Rd., Pigeon. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sebewaing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church-Linkville, Building Fund.
