Leslie Ann Reinbold was given the gift of life by her Creator and began her earthly ministry on December 6, 1982. She is the daughter of Joanne and the late Vern Reinbold, sister to Aaron (Heather) Reinbold, Sara (Steven) Katenhus, Daniel (Tracey) Reinbold and Steven (Melinda) Reinbold. She was the “cool” aunt to twelve precious nieces and nephews, and she held a special place to too many to name as niece, cousin, and dear friend.
On January 2, 1983, Leslie received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On April 27, 1997, she publicly confessed her faith through the Rite of Confirmation choosing her confirmation verse, to be John 5:24, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life.”(ESV)
God used Leslie’s life to touch countless beautiful souls in her short 42 years. Her God-given characteristics and talents including a quick wit, sarcastic humor, artistic creativity, a passion and gift for photography, her deep thinking and eye for the uncommon, her unique style all alongside her traditional values made her a magnetic enigma to any, and all that had the pleasure to meet and know her. She loved Jesus Christ, her family and her friends fiercely, and although she was “small in stature, her impact was mighty.” Leslie was always authentically herself and unapologetically and intentionally would share her faith through the work of the Holy Spirit with anyone and everyone that she was blessed to meet in her life, travels and adventures as she herself also grew spiritually. Leslie could see things with a perspective that most only wished they could and with her heart and a gift from the Almighty to minister to the broken-hearted, the seeds she planted, and the hearts converted remain. To God be the glory!
Leslie was welcomed by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and all the saints of heaven gone before her into her eternal rest on August 28, 2025. After a hard-fought battle against ovarian cancer, it was God’s good and gracious will that Leslie’s earthly strife would end and her eternal victory won in death through faith in her Savior Jesus Christ.
Leslie is now at peace in the loving arms of Jesus and reunited with those who preceded her in Holy Death including her father (Vern Reinbold), maternal grandparents (Waldo and Anna Sting, paternal grandparents Erwin and Florence Reinbold). Leslie is survived by her mother, her siblings and their spouses her nieces (Bailey Merz, Amelia Reinbold, Anna Katenhus, Claire Katenhus, Lilly Katenhus, Gabriella Reinbold, Alberta Reinbold, and Isabella Reinbold), and her nephews (Max Katenhus, Erwin Reinbold, Winston Reinbold, and Noah Reinbold).
Leslie’s funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairgrove. Rev. Joshua Haller will officiate with the burial following at Almer Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro and again on Tuesday, at the church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Leslie’s service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kitchen Remodeling Fund or the wishes of the family, c/o Joanne Reinbold, 205 West Sherman St., Caro, MI 48723.
Leslie’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, family and friends who helped and cared for Leslie, especially Russ and Mary Keinath for their never-ending compassion and love.
