Lewis J. Hill

Lewis Joseph Hill, 72, of Pigeon passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at
Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

He was born on October 17, 1939 in Elkton, son of the late Robert and
Beatrice (Roth) Hill and graduated from Elkton High School in 1957.

On September 14, 1974, he was united in marriage to Janet Hedley at the
Elkton United Methodist Church. They raised their family and lived in Elkton
until 2007, when they moved to Pigeon.

Lewis was employed at Active Industries/Tower for 42 years as a machine
repair supervisor, retiring in 2006.

He was a member of the Elkton United Methodist Church,Caseville Eagles Club and Century Oaks Golf Club. Lew enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Janet of Pigeon; two sons, Kelly Hill of Kansas
City, MO and Marc (Michelle) Hill of Pigeon; three grandchildren, Thomas
Hill, Tyler and Kate Hill; four sisters, Kathy (Thomas) Meagher
of Royal Oak, Patricia Braun of Essexville, Barbara (William) Lackie of
Chandler Twp., Jeri Lynn Herron of Mason; one brother, Stephen (Lynn)
Hill of Caseville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie (Jill) Hedley of
Elkton, Larry (Belinda) Hedley of Pontiac, Clark (Eileen) Hedley of
Freeland and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was a brother, Robert Hill and two brothers-in-law,
Robert Dubey and Neil Braun.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 19, at the
Elkton United Methodist Church. Rev. Craig Pillow, pastor will officiate
with burial in Caseville Twp. Cemetery.

Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 PM on Sunday, at the
Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton and at the church after 10:00 AM Monday.

Memorials may be made to Elkton United Methodist Church or Scheurer Hospital
