Lila M. Joles

Lila M. Joles, age 93, of Unionville, passed away February 5, 2020, at Brian's House in Essexville, with her family by her side.

Lila was born in Fairgrove to J.D. and Edith (Stein) Spencer, on May 24, 1926. She attended Fairgrove High School. Lila married Ambrose Joles on January 24, 1943 in Fairgrove. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1999, sharing 56 years of marriage and many special memories.  Lila worked as a Nurses Aid for Bay City Mercy and General Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo, the Michigan Lottery, cooking, and being with her cat, Baby, whom she loved very much.

Lila is survived by her children: Phyllis (Dave) Bell, Jim Joles, Jack (Connie) Joles and Rocky (Lori) Joles; 8 grandchildren: Jerry, Jodie, Heather, Jonathan, Caleb, Emily, Terri and Shelley;  6 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Lila is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jerry Joles and granddaughter, Jeannie.

A private service will take place Saturday at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.

Her burial will be private at Wisner Township Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Brian's House.
