Lila Ann Maurer, 70, of Elkton, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 after battling cancer for 5 years with friends and family by her side at home under hospice care.
Lila was born July 5, 1947 in Bad Axe to the late Charles and Evelyn (Whitchurch) Roberts. She attended Bad Axe Schools. She married Donald L. Maurer on February 20, 1965 in Verona; he preceded her in death October 6, 2014.
She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) locally for many years. She enjoyed BINGO, being outside, planting flowers and most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Terry (Nicki) of Elkton, Lisa (Brad Bricker) of Auburn Hills, Vincent (Pam) of Pigeon, Wayne (Meliza) of Elkton; 16 grandchildren: Melissa (Jack), David (Jaime), Danielle (Dave), Brett, Jamie, Chad (Alyssa), Ashley (Alex), Justina, Josh, Cody, Courtney, Amber, Austin, Zac, Breanna, and Logan; 18 great-grandchildren; brother Doug (Sherry) Roberts of Elkton; 5 sisters: Betty (Leroy) Law of Pigeon, Linda (Gary) Law of Vassar, Janet Herris of Elkton, Vera Wark of Akron, and Ruth (John) Vuillemot of Pigeon. She was preceded in death by brothers Kenny and David Roberts.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday at the Elkton Community Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ean Green officiating. Visitation will be Noon to 8:00pm Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Elkton.
