Lillian Marie Benson

Lillian Marie Benson of Fairgrove, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at her home. Lillian was born May 13, 1944 in Fairhaven Township, the daughter of the late Eittle and Mable Damm and was a graduate of Akron-Fairgrove High School, Class of 1962. She was employed for many years as a dietary aide at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community. Lillian enjoyed watching birds and T.V., gardening, animals, picking berries with her grandchildren, and especially socializing with friends and neighbors. She is survived by one daughter, Ronda Damm and Matt Cartwright of Caro; two grandchildren, Josh & his fianc, Samantha, and Justin; two great-grandchildren, Eleyna and Isaac; her siblings and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ann; and several brothers and sisters. In keeping with Lillian's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
