Lillian H. Rothfuss, age 94, of Sebewaing, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
Lillian was born January 23, 1923, in Kilmanagh, to Christian and Florence (Unger) Fuerst. She married Eli Rothfuss on June 26, 1943, at St Johns Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1976.
Lillian worked for Best Tackle for over 30 years. She was also a waitress at the Heidelberg Restaurant in Sebewaing, and a housekeeper, for many years. She enjoyed having yard sales, bowling, crocheting, playing cards, and spending time with family. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.
Lillian is survived by one sister, Luella Colvin of Stanwood, WA; 3 grandchildren: Chris Huizar of Unionville, James Schember of Pigeon, and Jodi (Woody) Juzek of Owendale; 3 great grandchildren: Lyn (Chris) Hummel of Madison Heights, Zane and Monee'Schember both of Sebewaing; 5 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Lucille and Johanna Fuerst; several nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, Cassandra.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Rosalyn, brothers: Elmer, Edward, Wilbert, Art, Milton; and sisters: Martha, Viola and Hannah.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 4-9pm.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Rev. Charles Kuhl will be officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
