Lillian V. Williams, 91, of Pigeon, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Country Gardens under hospice care.
Lillian was born January 7, 1926 in Greenleaf Township to the late Allen and Mabel (DeGroat) Herman. She graduated from Elkton High School in 1944. On March 30, 1947 she married Willard B. Williams at her home in Chandler Township. Willard was a minister in the Missionary Church, and she supported him in his ministry as he served congregations in Michigan, Indiana and Florida before retiring to the Thumb. Her home was a place of activity, hospitality and love, as she enjoyed entertaining and caring for children.
She is survived by her husband Willard; daughters Linda (Gerald) Dafoe of Morristown, AZ, LaDora (Susan) Williams of Anchorage, AK, and Jeanne (Kenneth) Fox of Osceola, IN; daughter-in-law Lorraine Williams Roberts of Aurora, CO; and 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Edward and all of her siblings: Elmer, Gilbert, Donald and Paul Herman, Della Trudgen, Mabel Herman, and Suzanne Schember.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, August 18th at the Elkton Missionary Church with Rev. Jack French officiating. Burial will be in Chandler Township Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in church. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Trinity Missionary Church of Yale, Michigan or Brown City Camp.
