Linda Marie Bedore of Unionville, age 59, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison in Saginaw, following a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born April 30, 1959 in Bay City, the daughter of Harlon & Shirley (Gamm) Bedore. She graduated from Unionville-Sebewaing Area High School with the Class of 1978 and began working at Sherwood on the Hill in Gagetown shortly after. While there, Linda became inspired to create Bedore Catering, a venture she began in 1986 with her sister, Shery, and continued with the business until her death. Linda was always hardworking and was employed with The Log Cabin Country Store in Akron, the Unionville Post Office, and was currently with Michigan Sugar in Sebewaing. Linda's work ethic was instilled in her children from a young age, as was her belief in showing kindness to others. She was compassionate always, and never focused on the mistakes of others. Linda's entire life revolved around family and she loved spending time with her grandkids. She was also community-minded as a member and past-president of the Unionville American Legion Auxiliary and current president of the Unionville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She leaves behind an enormous void in the countless hearts that she touched in her life. Linda is survived by two children and their spouses, Brian & Rebecca Sting of Midland, Sara & Justin Carter of Unionville; three grandchildren, Lillian Sting, Maggie Carter, April Carter; parents, Harlon & Shirley Bedore of Unioville; six siblings and their spouses, Louise & Dan Hodges of Caro, Terry & Dora Bedore of El Paso, Texas, Shery Bedore of Unionville, Lee & Holly Bedore of Mayville, Chris & Christina Bedore of Unionville, Kirt & Kayla Bedore of Unionville; special friend, Stacey Gemmell and her fianc, Frank Speciale; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her nephew, Richie Peterson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Our Lady Consolata Parish, Holy Family Church in Sebewaing with Rev. Adam Maher officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Unionville. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Bedore Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Brian Sting, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
