Linda Ardell Schweitzer

Linda Ardell Schweitzer of Sebewaing, age 77, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the Huron County Medical Care Community surrounded by her family. She was born on March 10, 1949 in Portsmouth, Virginia, the daughter of the late Grover and Anna (Hill) Welborn. Linda graduated from high school in Virginia in 1967. Following high school, Linda worked in the office at K-Mart and bartended at the Auburn Hotel. On December 8, 1979, she married the love of her life, Dennis C. Schweitzer at Grace Lutheran Church in Auburn. Linda was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Linkville. She enjoyed doing needle work, playing computer games, and working outside in the garden or mowing the lawn. Linda loved being at home and spending time with her family. Her strong will, thoughtfulness, and wisdom will be missed beyond measure.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of over forty-six years, Dennis; daughter, Deborah (Kevin) Barnum; grandchildren, Jesse, Alex, and Bradley Barnum. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her son, James Crawford.

Linda’s funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Linkville. Rev. Christopher Suggitt will officiate with the burial following at Grand Lawn Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
