Linda M. Shaw

Linda M. Shaw, 67, of Elkton passed away Monday, July 12, 2021.

Linda was born March 13, 1954 in Bad Axe to the late Arnold and Helen (Lange) Gettel. She graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1972. She married David Shaw November 12, 1977 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Kinde.

Linda was a 43 year employee of the State of Michigan, working currently as the legal secretary for the Probation/Parole Office of the Huron County Circuit Court. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where she sang with the choir and served in church leadership. Linda enjoyed being outdoors walking, riding motorcycle, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years David; sons Ryan (Bridget) of Pigeon, Jeff (Julie) of Caseville, and Jason (Sarah) of Bad Axe; grandchildren Wyatt, Corbin, and Evan; step-father Erwin Schave of Port Hope; siblings Joyce Gettel of Washington, Diane (Michael) Mills of Colorado, Lori (Felipe) Garcia of Texas, Kevin (Brinda) Gettel of Texas and Brian (Leanne) Gettel of Madison Heights.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, July 17th at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe with Rev. Kenneth Lueke officiating. Burial will be in Chandler Twp Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service Saturday in church.
