Linda Marie Shrontz, age 55, of Caro lost her brief battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 to go home to be with her maker. She was born on June 11, 1953 in Almont to the late Elijah and Eleanor (Romain) Davis. Linda cherished her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed socializing with friends and watching Nascar races. Linda retired from Delphi in 2000. She was a lifetime member of the Caro Women of the Moose and Fairgrove V.F.W. Post #7486 Womens Auxiliary, UAW Local 699, and a member of the Vassar Eagles Aerie # 2380. She is survived by her children, Tammy (Wayne) Phillips of Caro, Wayne (Renee) Shrontz of Millington and Edward (Laura) Shrontz of Sebewaing; her grandchildren, Cody, Amanda, Madeline, Kyle, Mickala, Zachary, Cameron, Ashlyn, Tyler, Travis and Mohlie; her brothers, Gary (Mary Jo) Davis of Florida, Bruce (UnCha) Davis of Oklahoma and Richard (Sharon) Hobson of Caro; a special friend, Nicholas DeFrancesco of Freeland; and her companion, Poncho. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Elanor (Romain) Davis; a grandson, Bradley J. Shrontz; and three brothers, Ronald Davis, Robert Hobson and Jay Davis. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Sylvia Putnam, Women of the Moose, officiating. Burial will be at Almer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorial services will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. presided over by the Women of the Moose and on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. presided over by the Fairgrove V.F.W.
