Linda D. Sochocki

Linda D. Sochocki of Caro, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at her home, following a period of declining health. Linda was born October 27, 1951 in Caro, the daughter of the late George M. & Gertrude B. (Beyette) Hack and graduated from Mayville High School with the Class of 1970. Shortly after on July 25, 1970, she was united in marriage to Gerald "Woody" Sochocki in Caro. Linda was employed as a cashier at Fashion Bug in Caro before becoming a playground supervisor at Schall School in Caro. Her last ten years were spent assisting customers at the Walmart Store in Caro. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed visiting casinos, watching NASCAR and gameshows, and visiting garage sales. She was naturally creative and loved crafting and decorating. Linda always thought of others before herself and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She loved making dinners for her family and had a knack for burning biscuits. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly forty-nine years, Gerald Sochocki of Caro; three children and their spouses, Calvin Sochocki and his fianc, Evie Jimkoski, of Kinde, Brian & Val Sochocki of Caro, Sarah & Steve Trollman of Mayville; grandchildren, Sammy & Jackie, Jenna Lynn, and Chevy; two sisters, Carol Bittner of Saginaw, Brenda Skelton of Caro; many nieces and nephews; and her grand-puppy, Buddy. Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Kitchen. In keeping with Linda's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164, 1030 West Caro Road, Caro, MI 48723.
