Lloyd Harold Adam

Lloyd Harold Adam, age 75, of Sebewaing, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.

Lloyd was born February 8, 1941, in Sebewaing Twp., to the late Harold and Oradell (Voss) Adam. He married Evelyn J. Nitz on October 20, 1962, at St. Peters Lutheran Church – Bach. He worked as a manager for Gettels John Deere in Sebewaing for over 40 years. In his retirement years he owned and operated Adams Lawn Care. Lloyd is a Past Sebewaing Mayor (1988-1994) and enjoyed his community. He was a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church and served on numerous boards. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching sporting events, was a USA Patriot fan, watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions, wintering in Florida, and in his younger years he enjoyed being the catcher for the fast pitch softball team in Sebewaing. But most of all, he enjoyed his grandchildren and his church.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn; his children: Kimberly (Scott) Bitzer of Bay City, Kelly Adam of Dana, KY, and Kristy (Tom) Williamson of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Jordan (Brianna) Bitzer, Brandon (girlfriend Kasey Weston) Bitzer, Chelsey Bitzer, Olivia Williamson and Grace Williamson; great granddaughter, Lailah Bitzer; siblings: Larry (Mary Lou) Adam, Marilyn (Carl) Seibel and Mary (Kurt) Kelly; brother and sister-in-laws: Verneda (Robert) Kuhl, Dorothy (Roger) Gremel, Arlene (Roger) Bachman, and Wayne Nitz; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery – Kilmanagh, in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to Christ the King Lutheran School.
