Lloyd Samuel Fritz Sr.

Lloyd S. Fritz Sr., 83, of Owendale passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe surrounded by his family.

Lloyd was born July 25, 1940 in Greenleaf Twp to the late Alvin and Geraldine (Carson) Fritz.  He married Betty Welchner on April 20, 1968 at the Owendale United Methodist Church.  Lloyd retired from Pigeon Manufacturing and worked at Michigan Sugar in Sebewaing.  He enjoyed fishing, puzzles, card playing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Betty; children Lori Killinger of Gagetown and Mike (Sherry) Fritz of Owendale; daughter-in-law June Fritz of Gagetown; grandchildren Nichole (William) Rabun, Nicholas (Kira) Woodruff, Justin Woodruff, Dylan Fritz, Branden Fritz, Samuel Fritz, and Aaron Fritz; several great-grandchildren; siblings Iva Hartz, Judy Fisher, and Ella Karle.  He was preceded in death by his son Lloyd Fritz Jr, son-in-law David Killinger, siblings Carolyn and Alvie Fritz.

Funeral services will be at Noon Saturday, November 25th at Champagne Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in Grant Twp Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10:00am Saturday and continue until the time of the service.
