Lloyd Gray

Lloyd Gray of Gagetown, age 70, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at his home. He was born April 6, 1944 in Pontiac, the son of the late Floyd Ceasal and Myrtle (Wilson) Gray. Lloyd served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky with Company C, 12th Battalion, 4th Regiment. He leaves behind the love of his life Helen Pyrek of Gagetown. Lloyd worked for many years for General Motors as well as with his brother, Charles, in the building trades. He enjoyed playing dominoes and cards, watching movies and exploring. Including Helen, Lloyd is survived by three children and their spouses, Lloyd "Mike" Gray, Jr. and his wife, Gracie of Long Beach, California, and their daughter, Elsie; John and Patricia Gray of Tehachapi, California, Michelle Gray Ramirez and her husband, Vincent, of Long Beach, California, and their children Chrystel, Angel and Christine; his siblings, Deloris Richardson of Cass City, Karen & Willis Wirick of Warren, Charles & Tolandia Gray of Caro, Ron & Joan Gray of Caro, Deborah & Clarence Baker of Caro, Doug & Mag Gray of Gagetown, Pat & Andy Murawski of Owendale; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathon Gray; and three brothers, Jack, Harvey and Jim Gray. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Wigand officiating. Burial will follow at Novesta Township Cemetery in Cass City. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
