Lloyd Maxwell

Lloyd Maxwell, age 76, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Hills & Dales General Hospital in Cass City, following a period of declining health. Phil was born April 21, 1933 in Baxter, Tennessee, the son of the late Lloyd E. & Nellie Allen (Hall) Maxwell. His family moved to the Detroit area when Phil was a young boy. Following his enlistment with the U.S. Navy, Phil enrolled as a student at Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree. He came to Caro in 1971 to begin employment at the Walbro Corporation as a Sales Manager, a position he held for seventeen years, retiring in 1988. He was united in marriage with the former Jan Ward on September 20, 1981 in Cadillac. Jan carries on his memory after more than twenty-seven years of marriage. Phil was a member of the Caro American Legion Post #7 and greatly enjoyed collecting 35mm cameras.
