Lois Drury

Lois Drury, age 90 of Pigeon, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at William Beaumont Hospital of Royal Oak.

She was born in Detroit on October 11, 1920 and was daughter of the late Wallace O. and Lucille (Izor) Lochridge. She and Robert E. Drury were united in marriage on October 16, 1943. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1995.

Robert and Lois raised their family in Ann Arbor, Michigan and spent many beautiful weekends since 1953 at their cottage on Sand Point. After retirement they moved permanently to Sand Point and became involved in real estate development on the Point.

Lois was a member of the United Methodist Church of Caseville, the Caseville Library Club and a former member of the Scenic Golf and Country Club. She enjoyed traveling, her walks, church activities and being with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Robert (Leslie) Drury, Diane (Russ) Lundberg, and Susan (Mark) Koch, all of Sand Point; her grandchildren: Hillary (Todd) Pejakovich, Mark (Katie) Koch, Betsy (Chad) Diegel, Tracy (Brian) Davies, Stephanie Drury, Scott Lundberg (fiance' Cindy Lavisky), Annie and Katie Lundberg; her great grandchildren, Bryant and Gavin Pejakovich, Hope Samouelian, and Wynn Diegel; and her sister, Ruth (Donald) Cook.

A private family service took place on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home, Pigeon.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Caseville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Linda Fuller, pastor, officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Caseville or to a charity of choice.
