Lois Ann Koepf

Lois Ann Koepf of Caro, age 87, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Carey's Young at Heart AFC Home in Caro. Lois was born November 27, 1933 in Caro, the daughter of the late Harold and Bernita (Allen) Thane and graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1951. She was united in marriage with Bernard Koepf on August 30, 1954 in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on October 8, 1988. Lois was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and reading. Most important, was the unconditional love she felt for her family. Lois was a lifelong member of St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church. Left to cherish her memory are six children, Deborah Armstead and husband, Robert, of Unionville, Margaret Riley and husband, Bill, of Lake, Eric Koepf of Mayville, Lisa Osborn of Caro, Celeste Koepf of Caro, Angela McCreary and husband, Michael, of Eaton Rapids; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Slater of Tomah, Wisconsin, Jeannie Thane/McPherron of Eureka, California; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Koepf and Kay Stebbins; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Bardwell and Marilyn Fader; and two brothers, Leonard Thane and Floyd Thane. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Burial and graveside service at Ellington Township Cemetery in Caro to follow in the spring.
