Lois Scott, age 56 years, of Caro, formerly of Tuscola, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at St. Marys of Michigan. The former Lois Carter was born on April 12, 1949, in Saginaw. She lived in Tuscola and graduated from Vassar High School. Lois moved to Caro in 1969. On May 4, 1991, she married Earl (EJ) Scott at Living Waters Chapel in Caro. Until her retirement in 2003, she was a Resident Care Aide at the Caro Center. Lois very much enjoyed lighthouses; staying in lighthouse bed and breakfasts, and was an honorary Light-house Keeper. She loved taking care of her family, spending time with her grandchildren, sewing and knitting. She played the flute at her church, Living Waters Chapel. She was a volunteer at Cass River Pet FriendZ, and very much involved in sewing and donating pet items and clothing. Lois is survived by her husband, EJ; one daughter and son-in-law, Kristine (Carter) and Mark Kelly of Canton; two step-children, Amanda and Mike Janisse of Roscommon, Tim and Crystal Scott of Caro; four grandchildren, Alexandria and Ethan Kelly, Greg and Michael Janisse; her brothers, David Carter of Clio and Paul and Tonga Carter of Vassar; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mary (Smith) Carter. The funeral will be held at Living Waters Chapel in Caro on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James Solomon and Pastor Max McCloud, officiating. Burial will be at Wahjamega Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 pm and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Cass River Pet FriendZ or Living Waters Chapel.
