Lois Ann Smith

Lois Ann Smith of Cass City, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at United Hospice Service in Marlette with her loving husband by her side. Lois was born April 14, 1939 in Farmington, the daughter of the late George and Emily (Butts) Davy. She was united in marriage with Ormond Smith at his home on April 19, 1991. Lois retired from the Caro Center where she was employed in housekeeping. Lois enjoyed gardening and sitting on the deck watching her "critters," but most importantly was spending time with her family. Lois is survived by her loving husband of twenty-eight years, Ormond Smith; five children and their spouses, Linda Dennis of Flint, Troy & Beth Dennis of Caro, Brenda Racine of Deford, Matt Dennis of Deford, Kathleen & Joseph Urmos of Vassar; twelve grandchildren, LeeAnn, Jimmy, Thomas, Christopher, Andre, Amber, Destiney, Alexis, Jolene, Krystal, Jordan and Dustin; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by one grandson, Calvin Cain; and a son-in-law, Fred Racine. In keeping with Lois' wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned.
