Lois I. Wilson, 86, of Pigeon, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Country Gardens Assisted Living in Pigeon.

Lois was born July 13, 1934, in Grout Township, Gladwin County to the late Alvin and Dorothy (Ballard) Shearer.  She married Fredrick A. Wilson in Gladwin on April 19, 1953.  During the 67 years of marriage, Lois faithfully supported Fred in his small business and ministered by Fred's side when he became a pastor.  Lois loved working with children and spent many years teaching in Sunday school, neighborhood Bible clubs, and VBS.  She also enjoyed working in Sebewaing as a school crossing guard for USA.

Living with Fred in Sebewaing for over 30 years, Lois actively contributed her talents to ministry in Trinity United Methodist Church working with children and adults.  She also did volunteer work for Bay Shore Camp and Scheurer Healthcare Network. Later she became a member of Pigeon River Mennonite Church where she continued helping children's ministries. Her hobbies included reading, cross stitching, cooking and baking.

Lois is survived by her husband, Fred, her children, Donna Wilson of Caseville, Diane Wilson of Caseville and Wayne Wilson of Bay City, her three grandchildren, Rebecca (Jay) Hatfield, Greg (Melissa) Wilson, and Eric (Tiffany) Wilson all of Crown City, Ohio, great-grandchildren, her sisters, Jean Hill of Gladwin and Carol Ostergren of Midland.

She was preceded in death by a son, Warren Wilson, a sister, Janice Holly, three brother-in-laws, Byron Hill, Lyle Holly, and John Ostergren.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Pigeon River Mennonite Church in Pigeon. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Due to Covid-19 regulations, masks must be worn and social distancing guidelines observed. Burial will take place privately at Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sanford, MI.

Memorials may be given to Pigeon River Mennonite Church's Harvest Offering.
