Lola I Morley, age 93, of Elkton died Wednesday evening, October 18, at Sunny Acres Nursing Center, Bad Axe.
She was born January 23, 1913, in Colfax Township at the home of her parents the late George and Grace (Howie) Robarts.
On November 5, 1932, she was united in marriage to Wesley W. Morley in Elkton. They farmed in Oliver Twp. until moving to Elkton in the early fifties. While he worked at Active, she operated an adult foster care home at their residence. Wesley preceded her in death March 28, 1979. Lola was a life member of Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed quilting, collecting owls and thimbles. She also enjoyed canning from her garden and caring for her flowers.
Surviving are three sons, Arnold (Mary) Morley of Elkton, Walter (Tessie) Morley of Abilene, TX and Lee (Charlotte) Morley of Elkton; nine grandchildren, Tina, Tammy, Sandy, Deanna, Jim, Lola, Joann, Devin and Bob and 20 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were and infant son, Wayne; two grandchildren, Tonya and Jim Morley; a great granddaughter, Jessica Wolschlager, three brothers, Myron, Jim and George Robarts and three sisters, Susie Wells, Eva Thomas and Myrtle Mayworm.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, October 21, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Rev. Daniel Stone, pastor of the Community Wesleyan Church, Elkton will officiate with burial in Colfax Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 PM Friday and after 11 AM Saturday. Memorials may be given to the family.
