Lon F. Kemp

Lon F. Kemp , age 69, of Unionville, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at McLaren Bay Region.

Lon was born March 1, 1953, in Bay City, to Edward and Lula (Gotham) Kemp. Lon graduated from Sebewaing High School, Class of 1971. After high school he married Bonnie M. Wildner on September 4, 1971. He retired from Kemp Tiling Co. after 43 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing solitaire and going to the cabin with his faithful dog, Jake.

Lon is survived by his wife, Bonnie; sons: Eric (Kara Kohl) Kemp and Aaron Kemp; daughter-in-law, Becky Kemp; grandchildren: Logan, Rachel, Caden, Mason and Erica; siblings: Violet Musselman, Donna Parsell, John (Norma) Kemp, Rose Faber, Laura Leskowich and Al (Lori) Kemp; and many nieces and nephews.

Lon is preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert; and infant brother, Charles.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2;30pm-7pm.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. David Good will be officiating.

Burial will be at Hickory Island Cemetery in Akron Township.

Memorial donations may be given to ACW Ambulance or the Unionville Fire Department.
