Lorena A. Elliott

Lorena A. Elliott, age 90, of Pigeon died early Sunday morning, April 6, at Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care.
She was born December 7, 1917 in Jasonville, IN to the late Ralph and Lou Etta (Couch) Kohr.
After high school and 2 years of Business College, Lorena was employed 15 years as bookkeeper/ switchboard operator at Green County Hospital in Linton, IN. There she met C. Stanley Elliott. They were united in marriage June 11, 1950 at her parent's home in Linton. After their marriage they moved to Maryland near Baltimore while Stanley finished medical school. They moved to Lansing for a short time and than came to Pigeon in the mid fifties to start his medical practice at Scheurer Hospital. Stanley preceded her in death March 17, 1987.
Lorena was a former member of the First Christian Church of Linton, attended First United Methodist Church, Pigeon and was a past member of the Worth While Club of Pigeon.
Surviving are three children, James (Karen) Elliott of Grand Rapids, Jon (Robin) Elliott of Pigeon and Jackie (Ted) Lukomski of Fortville, IN; six grandchildren and her sister, LaVerne (Bernard) Morrison of Fayetteville, GA.
Preceding her in death was her son, Stephen Elliott and her sister, Mildred Cravens.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 8, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Rev. Douglas Richardson, United Hospice Chaplain will officiate with graveside services at Grandlawn Cemetery, Pigeon.
Memorials may directed to United Hospice, Scheurer Long Term Activities Fund or the Humane Society.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 PM and after 10 AM Tuesday.
