Lorene L. Miller, age 87, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.
Lorene was born December 4, 1927 in Port Hope, MI. She was the daughter of the late William and Martha (Lidke) Hartz. On June 12, 1948 she married Casper Miller. He preceded her in death February 2000. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She helped her husband many years with the family commercial fishing business. She enjoyed riding her bike, baking, walking, flowers and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Carol (Robert) Krenz, Larry (special friend Cathy Savgie) Miller, Connie (Gregory) Green, Lynn (special friend Patrick Temple) Miller, Sheila (Thom Eisenberger) Miller and Chris (special friend Lori Kelley) Miller; grandchildren: Grete' Miller, Lindsey Hikes, Jenny Krenz and Kelly Haddock; great grandchildren: Avia' Atta, Kennedy Hikes and Fisher Krenz.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Casper; and 14 siblings.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 1-8pm.
The funeral service will be Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Funeral Home at 11am. Pastor Charles Kuhl will be officiating.
Burial will take place privately at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
