Loretta R. Miklovic

Loretta R. Miklovic of Caro, age 100 years, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at her home. Loretta was born on the family farm in Almer Township on November 1, 1917, the daughter of the late August and Margaret (Goka) Romain. Loretta was a 1936 graduate of Caro High School, and was united in marriage with Ludy Miklovic on May 7, 1938 in Caro. Ludy preceded her in death on August 17, 2000. Loretta was a homemaker and farm wife, as well as a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed camping in East Tawas with family, fishing with family in Canada to remote fishing sites up until she was 96, refinishing furniture, playing cards and entertaining family and friends. Loretta is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James & Barbara Miklovic of Caro; four grandchildren and spouses, Kirk Sales of Golden, Colorado, Kelly & Nelson Rhodes of Caro, Peter & Laurie Miklovic of Caro, Joseph & Amy Miklovic of Caro; five great-grandchildren, Bradley & Emily, Joey, Paul and Nathan Miklovic, and Amanda Rhodes; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Loretta was preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Joan & Keith Sales; one grandson, Keith Lynn Sales; her siblings and their spouses, Veronica & Andrew Beecher, Alice & Ansel Lawe, George & Elva Romain, Margaret Nagy, and James Romain; and her in-laws and their spouses, Ledge & Anna Miklovic, William & Stefana Miklovic and Gus & Ella Miklovic. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow at the Almer Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Hill & Dales General Hospital in Cass City.
