Lorna Perket

Lorna Perket, age 83, of Sebewaing, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in the comfort of her own home.

Lorna was born October 15, 1938, in Sebewaing, to Arthur John Jahr and Elsie Vernie (Bolzman) Jahr. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. She graduated in 1966 from Sebewaing High School. Lorna was a very active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh and with the Sebewaing Sportmans VFW. She enjoyed shopping, quilting, flower and vegetable gardening, babysitting for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, painting, canning, reading, working many different jobs in the community and most of all spending time with her family.

Lorna is survived by her children: Liz (Albert) Kovach, Linda (Greg) Ware, Lori McNames, Linette Fritz, Loretta (Arnie) Howard, Lana (Vern) Jacobs; step children: Dick (Brenda) Papkey and Dan (Deb) Papkey, Michael (Kelly Perket and Kimberly Perket-Owens; 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; brother, Don (Mary) Jahr; and nieces and nephews.

Lorna is preceded in death by her spouses: Charles E. Hahn, Duane J. Engelhardt, David L. Papkey and Ward L. Perket.

Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-9pm.

The funeral will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at St. John's Lutheran Church (Kilmanagh). Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Rev. Thom Garrison will be officiating.

Burial will be at the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church.
