Lorraine A. Cramer of Caro, age 89, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Lorraine was born October 10, 1932, in Kingston, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kuna) Chantiny. Lorraine was united in marriage to the late Rex Cramer on May 17, 1954. After Rex's retirement from the military, the couple returned to Caro. Lorraine worked at Bell Telephone Company for many years. She was an active member and former deacon and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Caro. Lorraine attended church regularly, where she volunteered and participated in study and fellowship. She loved animals, music, gardening, and was an active participant in many community events. Lorraine is survived by her sister, Jennette Robare; two brothers, Charles (Mary) Chantiny and Edward (Jan) Chantiny, along with several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her three brothers, Francis, Harm, and Oscar Chantiny, and three sisters, Andie Bass, Marie Kaufeld, and Florence Werner. A Service of Remembrance will be held for Lorraine on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Caro, with Nicholas Schmelter, Director of Worship and Congregational Life, officiating.
