Lorrine Clara Kuhl, age 89, of Sebewaing, passed away February 8, 2026 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw.
Lorrine was born in Sebewaing on November 21, 1936, to Robert and Clara (Lenz) Nitz. She was baptized and confirmed from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School for 8 years and graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1954. During high school she was proud to be the Sebewaing Bass Queen and a Majorette. After high school she married Willard Kuhl on July 30, 1955. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2004. Lorrine worked many jobs throughout her life: Blue Line Dairy during high school, a private secretary in Detroit, worked at Farmers & Merchants State Bank, and ended with advertising for the Sebewaing Blade & Newsweekly for 27 years.
Lorrine is survived by her children: Dale (Lorraine) Kuhl, Denise (Keith) Dillon and Deann Crawford; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother: Jerry Nitz; sister-in-law, Marian Kuhl; and many nieces and nephews.
Lorrine was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; children: Dennis (Vicki) Kuhl and Donna (William) Thomas; son-in-law, John Crawford; grandson, Steven Kuhl; sister, Barbara Reidel; brother, James R. Nitz; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Ed & Leah Kuhl; and many sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Inc., in Sebewaing, from 2pm-8pm.
The funeral service will be Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Trinity United Methodist Church, in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Luncheon will follow the service at the church. Burial will be private at New Bay Port Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to the Sebewaing Township Library or Trinity United Methodist Church.
