Lottie Dorothy Marr

Lottie Dorothy Marr of Vassar, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at HealthSource of Saginaw. She was born October 13, 1944, in Caro, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Grabitz) Stoick. Lottie attended Karpovich Country School and then went to work. On November 17, 1962, she married the love of her life, Larry Marr at Sacred Heart Church in Caro. Their marriage was blessed with over sixty wonderful years, three beautiful children, and countless memories. Lottie worked at the Caro Regional Center from 1973 until her retirement in 1998. She held various jobs there from cooking and cleaning to sewing and upholstery. Lottie and Larry found great enjoyment in raising West Highland White Terriers for over twenty-five years, a passion Larry continues. Throughout life, Lottie loved cooking, gardening, sewing, crafting, and china painting. She wasn't afraid to try anything, and she excelled in everything she was given. Lottie's caring, outgoing, and independent soul will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Lottie leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Larry; children, Larry Allen Marr of Michigan and Sherry (Mike) Lorenz of Florida; grandchildren, Samantha (Patrick) O'Rourke of Alabama, Jammie Ayers of Florida, Michaelanne Lorenz of North Dakota, and Bradley (Alaynna) Marr of Illinois; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Stoick; several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Lottie was preceded in death by her infant son, Timothy Marr; and brother, Jerry Stoick. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Christopher Coman officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. Lottie's family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of her service.
